Alongside the smiles…

Many will know that my little business has literally been my little lifeline in recent, difficult times so Saturday’s @clubhubuk awards was an opportunity to reflect on how hard it can be running and growing a business! 

We are all in the same boat which is why we come together and celebrate -its the best!! 

The Club Hub Awards celebrate the UK’s best children’s activity providers. Hearing that we were finalists in such a big awards event, just a month after losing my mum, was honestly ‘enough’ for me, and the announcement gave me such a buzz! Therefore going along on Saturday wasn’t about winning –  it was about showing up and seeing Number Train’s name ‘up there’s on the board’ and remembering just how far we have come. I think if I had of won I would have been a blubbering mess anyway! 

To hear we were also ranked 26th in the UK was also AMAZING 

However, with all milestones and achievements like this, it also hits hard …. knowing you can’t just pick up the phone and tell your mum is harder than you ever imagine. Hopefully, she will be watching over me though as I continue on my mission and will continue to send strength. 

So there you go, alongside these genuine smiles, there is pain too, but when you love what you do it helps you to just keep on going!  

Thank you to everyone who supports us, and a reminder to us all to be kind because you never know what people have on their plate. Many small businesses do what they do for a reason that they never share.
